Happy children from happy families and happy communities...

We work with communities, its organizations / institutions, government, technical and academic institutions and other civil society groups to create a society where every child is happy, its well being assured. And naturally happy children need to be in happy families and happy families need happy communities in which to flourish.

SBMA is a registered, non-profit organization, working in Uttarakhand since 1977. It is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. 1974 (No. 347960028). Donation to SBMA is exempted under section 80 (G) of the Income Tax Act.

Swamiji participated in and lead a number of important social movements in Garhwal, and they are still remembered by the people today with satisfaction and a great sense of achievement. The most famous movement involved the eradication of animal sacrifices at the Chandrabudni temple. (+) Swami Manmathan

The brave women, Mala Devi, Chankhi Devi, Santa Devi, Saunla Devi and others fought local perceptions and worked extremely hard, and ensured a solid ideological foundation for the ashram and its vision of change.
