A five days video and animation film making workshop was conducted by CHINH India experts at Anjanisain, Uttarakhand at the end of September 08. The workshop was organized for 30 Children/youth and 13 facilitators from UMANG under the auspices of the Young Heart Project.  The children conducted a survey on Young Heart issues, and on that basis children discussed stories out of which 4 video and 1 animation film emerged.  Children learnt and practiced the process of Video film making as also the lengthy, but interesting animation film developing technique. 

    
To institutionalize children capacities in film making, six youth from 4 Plan Programme Units are presently attending a 3 months certificate course in ‘covering social issues through video production’ at the National Institute of Social Communication, Research and Training (NISCORT) Gaziabad. Two children from SBMA/Plan - Deepa Jhinkwan from Gairsain and Pankaj Kumar from Uttarkashi are attending this course from Uttarakhand. This course covers, analyzing and identifying social issues, basic research, understanding audio visual language, developing perspectives and approaches, still photography, videography, scripting, camera operation and editing.
